This is an interim privacy policy for ReplyThem while the service prepares to launch. A full policy will replace it before anyone can sign up, and we’ll update the date above when it does.
Who we are
ReplyThem is a product of REPLYTHEM LTD, a company registered in Scotland (company number SC902667), with its registered office at 13 Grey Place, Greenock, PA15 1YF. REPLYTHEM LTD is responsible for your personal data under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR).
You can contact us at contact@replythem.com.
Our Meta app
ReplyThem connects to Facebook through a Meta app that a company in our group, SPICOTECH (SMC-PRIVATE) LIMITED, holds on our behalf. REPLYTHEM LTD decides how data received through that app is used, and this policy covers it.
What we collect today
ReplyThem isn’t open yet, so we don’t hold data about Facebook accounts or Pages. If you email or call us, we use your details only to reply to you, and keep them only as long as the conversation needs.
What we’ll collect when ReplyThem launches
ReplyThem helps businesses reply to people who message their Facebook Pages. When a business connects a Facebook Page, we receive from Meta:
the name and ID of the Facebook account connecting, and the Pages it chooses to connect;
access tokens that let ReplyThem act for those Pages;
messages sent to and from those Pages, and the profile details Meta shares about the people who send them: name, profile picture and, where available, gender, locale and timezone.
We use this data only to provide ReplyThem to the business that connected the Page. We never sell it or use it for advertising. For messages between a business and its customers, the business decides how they’re used and ReplyThem processes them on its behalf.
How long we keep it
We keep data only as long as we need it to provide the service. When a business disconnects a Page or closes its account, we delete the related data. Erased data can stay in encrypted backups for about three weeks before it’s overwritten.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to how we use it, or to receive a copy of it. Email us and we’ll reply within one month. If you’ve messaged a business that uses ReplyThem, contact that business first; we’ll help it answer your request.
To remove ReplyThem from your Facebook account and have your data deleted, follow our data deletion instructions.
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
We’ll post any changes to this policy on this page and update the date at the top.
